Body Balance Institute is the go to place for NFL players who are interested in fine tuning their skills and performing at an elite level while minimizing injury. We have worked with many Jacksonville Jaguars and continue to work with them during their off-season. Most players come to us seeking tools for decreasing injury and improving flexibility. Football is a challenging, competitive sport that certainly takes its toll on the body. One of our goals at BBI is to teach athletes how to be their own advocate to increase their longevity. Our collaborative programs are designed to develop mind-body awareness, increase pliability, improve agility, decrease the risk of injury and enhance required skill sets.

At Body Balance Institute, we focus on small details, local and whole body movement and body awareness using Gyrotonic®, Pilates, Fascial Stretch Therapy, Qigong, and bodywork. Our role is to deconstruct movement that is out of balance and reconstruct the tissue and overall structure to allow NFL players to move with ease and balance.

Gyrotonic® allows NFL players to fine tune movements that are critical to the unpredictable nature of football. The spiral and wave movement of Gyrotonic® increases dynamic strength and stabilization of the torso. Players learn how to isolate movement while improving stamina.

Pilates focuses on the strength of the core and flexibility of the spine while addressing correct posture and alignment. It teaches coordination, focus, mind-body awareness, and the importance of connecting breath to movement.

Fascial Stretch Therapy and massage techniques realign the tissue and help football players release tension in the body while regaining strength in tight tissues that have become restricted.

Qigong, acupuncture and Healing Touch (energy work) help to bring the meridians and the chakras back into balance. These techniques address the balance of the energy system, the immune system, overall stress and wellness, and the emotional connections between physical and mental wellbeing.

Our master-level registered dietitian works on fine-tuning the food/ fuel that professional and amateur athletes use to improve endurance and longevity.
